About

Science and Advice for Scottish Agriculture (SASA) is a Division of the Scottish Government Agriculture, Food and Rural Communities Directorate.  It is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Around 150 scientists are engaged in activities in support of Scottish agriculture and the environment.

As part of SASA’s work, a small team of botanists observe and collect descriptive information on a range of cereal crops.
